Worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. I went to the ER at 11 pm during my finals as a college student at Georgetown, and waited 3 hours to be seen by someone. I had previously been diagnosed with a kidney infection and was in serious pain. They placed me in the hallway in the ER and I waited 2 hours to be seen once I was back there. If you are an out of town visitor and need medical attention do not go to this emergency room. We picked it because of the Georgetown name. The staff were pleasant but very superficial in their examination of the presenting problem. After 5 hours we left without any official discharge, no instructions as to how to take the medications prescribed. As it turned out they missed a serious problem that caused us to have to fly home early to have it resolved at our local hospital.
