My uncle was a long term resident at Medina Village and I want to experess my heartfelt thanks for the care he received. The nurses, asistants and administrative staff were just wonderful. Dr. Basabi is a fountain of caring and information and we could not have made it through this tough time with out her. For three years they were part of our family and when Uncle Bob died, they attended the funeral, touched base at least once a month for the past 4 months and when I see a staff member in town I always get a hug. My mother just spent 3 months in Medina Village Inn. I read these reviews after my sister made arrangements for her to go there for rehab and was very concerned. I believe I am speaking for my entire family when I say how thrilled we were to find these reviews to be incorrect. The nurses, Physical Therapists, and the majority of the aides were careful, loving, and good at their jobs. They took care of my mom the way we would. She saw them as her friends.We found the administrators easy to work with and on top of her status. ... read more

The nursing assistants are great but the nursing administration has a lot to be desired for. Failure to answer the phone in a timely manner. Never a direct answer from the director of nursing about the care of my mother. She always talks over me and steers my questions in another direction - as to avoid facing her inept ability to lead. Pain medication not given in a timely manner. Would not recommend this place for a loved one.

This place really surprised me! I never knew such a beautiful place was hidden in the heart of Medina. The staff really listens to the concerns and gets them taken care of ASAP! My mom still wants to go back and visit all of her friends that she met there! Thank you!!
my mom has been a resident at this place and I have asked nursing staff to get her out of bed at different visits, but I visited later to see her still in bed. I have spoken with DON before to have her pursue this and other concerns. This is just average nursing care, needs more caring and compassionate concerned staff. Maybe a staff shortage? Still should be looked at by administration.

My Mother-In-Law was admitted a couple of days ago and my wife has been trying to call her for two days but no-one answers the phone! We live out of state and worry about her.
