Massive lack of communication.
Unbelievable supportive care. I was admitted into this program after being in urgent Care with an upper respiratory infection, asthma and pneumonia. These highly skilled medical personnel came out to my home twice a day for med checks, IV antibiotics and steroids. Every single one of them that I talked to over the course of 8 days loved their job. How unusual is that? The virtual support staff, ( doctors and nurses) checked on me multiple times a day. Just another for profit part of the industry. Staff you deal with on their tablet aren't very professional or courteous. The paramedics from from Metro West were very professional. Sad to see health care going this way.
My experience with Medically Home is exactly the opposite of Ms. White's (above). I found them to be professionally excellent, kind and on the cutting edge of what I expect the future of medicine will become. There is currently a huge space between (1) 'take one and call me in the morning" and ( 2) call 911, get an ambulance and go to the ER". Medically Home is focused on precisely that gap. AND, they do it VERY well.
