I have been a Pain Mngmt patient of Dr M. Gabe Hillegass since 6/2020. He is an excellent Doc going out of his way to assist in my care. I've an implanted DRG stimulator and been a recipient of numerous/varied injections. He has even gone out of his way to do an unscheduled SI Joint injection to allow me to walk out of the facility barely needing my Cain. He's the only reason I'm standing upright. Great Dr!

I am a senior citizen living in Mt. Pleasant. MUSC originally sent me to a pain doctor at their clinic in Citadel Mall. He was a good doctor. But, in leaving, I asked if there was a doctor who worked out of their Mt. Pleasant facility, so that I could avoid the drive (which aggravates my back pain). The scheduling person was kind enough to book my 2nd appointment with Hillegass in their Mt. Pleasant facility. Been going to "pain management" for well over a year with 0 change in my condition & hardly any relief from my pain. I'm convinced now there is no plan or concern for my long term well being because all they do is load me up with the max of pills that aren't really working & they don't document how I'm actually feeling physically or mentally
