My wife got imaging done through LVHN and has not stopped recieving calls from this place. She has paid what she was billed, then told she still owed only to find they added a charge and never billed the insurance company. The insurance company paid as soon as they actually filed the claim. Now A FULL YEAR after imaging was done, she got yet another bill. This is a predatory institution. I had to have diagnostic imaging performed elsewhere that cost thousands, and I guess this group is who analyzes the images? They’re deliberately sneaky with charging money. They don’t inform you what’s owed until months later, and they don’t submit to the insurance company or even send physical bills. They instead call and harass you claiming you owe them money. I told them they need to send me a bill, so they did. I sent that to my insurer and it was paid in full. I called to reschedule my appointment for next week because I can't make due to work. I thought this would be quick and easy but the lady on the phone was rude. I was not expecting a question as to "why" I am cancelling my appointment. I told her it was none of her business and she came back with a blunt "fine". I will go back to the university of penn where they are more respectful.

I do not understand why the hospital has to "sub-contract" this function [billing] to a 3rd party. It is more paperwork and extra billing to pay. They send me bills before the insurance claims are complete and finalized. I am supposed to trust them for how much balance is owed. They are ALL about the money, medical care is secondary.
