I have been going to see Dr. Genge for many years. He has been my Doctor! The last couple times I made an appointment they put me in to see someone else and I wanted to see Dr. Genge because he’s more qualified. I’m a senior citizen and I have bad vision and my last exam he told me I have cataracts beginning to form on my eye. I can hardly see anything and I have no glasses and I have no contacts. When you enter this office you have step back into 1950. It doesn"t matter if you get a routine eye exam they charge a copay. The older desk clerk is very rude and hates people who does not look like her. She only books annual appts for the older white patients.
Felt last year over booked appointments; know this year after hour wait w/o being called or advised behind schedule. Requested copay refund and left.
Unprofessional leadership! There was one receptionist. The office manager stepped and saw a line of customers and did not ask if anyone needed assistance. She left her staff juggling phone lines , checking in and out, taking payments, making appointments and checking on contact orders. That’s way too much for one person. I find that to be unprofessional.
I enjoyed my visit. I will admit the wait even after showing up early is a bit extensive. I notice they deal with alot of elderly people , so take that into consideration that may be why the wait is so long. I would recommend bringing your phone or a book to entertain you, no more than maybe 30 minutes pass your appointment and then wait in the back for some more time.
