My wife and I made an appointment today.My wife and I fell very happy because we met Laurie and doctor Lu.They are all very nice.Especially Doctor Lu can talk with us in Chinese to discuss my illness.
Is this the only walk in clinic in Nanaimo?
Agree with all the other frustrated callers. This line is a joke whose purpose is to brush you off to somewhere else which of course always leads to a dead end. Unforgivable for staff to put up with this broken system day in day out. Little hope for health care in BC because administrators are content with the status quo. So sad!!
Within the context of our terrible Island Health system, this place is a welcome reprieve. I like the system of phoning for appointments so that I'm not waiting endlessly at a walk-in. I called at 9:30am, was 14th in line, and I appreciated that the message keeps you updated on your place in line as it changes. I waited about an hour to get through. Obviously that's not ideal, but that's the fault of Island Health not having enough family doctors, not the clinic which is overworked in a terrible system. The receptionist was ... read more
