Just coming back to specify that my previous review was for the AV Advanced Imaging Center in Lancaster. They also have one in Palmdale which I haven't been to.
It was unpleasant today. There have been a few hiccups in the past, but today was the worst for both my Dexa scan and mammogram. Everyone seemed 'out of it'. I wasn't familiar with the new lockers, and no one bothered to explain how to use it, which would have been common courtesy. It's like they took it for granted that I always come there and would know, but it has been three years since I have. The location on Atlantic Ave., Queens told me to get there at 12:45 with my 89 year-old mother who could barely walk. The appointment was for 115 therefore already a half hour sitting there 2 o’clock rolls around I’m told we apologize. There’s just people that are making the appointment delayed. I can’t tell you how many people went through those doors before me. I don’t care what their procedure was. The check in staff is beyond rude, they are defensive from the get go, when people are at some of their most vulnerable. Attitude and some strange power trip. It's a shame because the actual medical professionals upstairs, if you can make it up there, are lovely. The downstairs needs to be trained, or get a vacation and gain some human decency. Jerks really.
Unprofessional, lack of communication between staff and appointments. I received multiple notices confirming my appointment at Garden Grove, Ca. Day of appointment i received verbal message confirming my appointment. Arriving at the facility, I waited in for appointments for 50 minutes. finally reached a person,. The facility staff told me there was not paperwork, that my appointment was cancelled, I was not seen and to to see my Dr.
This place is scamming people for their deductibles. They are an in network provider thru my Aetna insurance and my coverage is 100% with $0 deductible. They refused to do my approved mri without collecting $600 up front, saying I hadn’t met my deductible yet. I said ok, bill me. They said we can’t do that we need the payment now. Called Aetna today and confirmed all imaging is covered at 100%. Beware and watch your EOB statements. I had an X-Ray. They made me pay $139.33 up front. When I received my EOB (Statement of Benefits), it stated that the total cost allowed was $141.64. My insurance company paid $60.41 and my share was $80.00. I called my insurance company and the representative called Community. Community stated that they will refund me the balance within 30 days. I can't believe it would take 30 days for a refund! Anyway, after 40 days and I had not received the credit to my card, I called again.... read more
I scheduled an appointment and confirmed it. They tell me I didn't confirm it and booked over me, then tell me I can wait for an opening but there are quite a few appointments ahead of me or I can reschedule. I don't have time for either, gave up time out of my sleep to accommodate them this time. Shouldn't they take the person who first booked the appointment and make the other person wait?
Second time coming to this facility in Queens Blvd you came ahead of my scheduled appointment they make you wait for check in they tell you your appointment is at a certain time and when you show them the text and appointment they say there sorry there is always a delay the front desk needs to stop chi chatting and handle patients i will never go back to this place
