Worked good for the first 3 years. Lightning struck a pole outside they fixed it well enough to work again. afterwards constant 5-10 second outages and speed would spike from 800 to below 10 and then correct itself after awile. 3 different techs kept blaming my router after going from theirs to 2 different of my own. At that point everything in the home had been replaced with no difference. 12-25-25 UPDATE: Mediacom has been good for a few days now. I talked with tech support and the weather has been good . If I notice an issue during the next storm or future I will again call to alert them. I also talked with a customer service representative who was able to upgrade my plan and gave me a competitive price offer for being a loyal customer. Horrible service, horrible people. Called in to set up auto pay, MONTHS AGO… just realized it never was. Now I owe them almost $300 for 3 months because THEY FAIL TO TELL YOU ANYTHING!!! Horrible provider. DONT EVER GO WITH THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE.
This business is sub par at best. They can't keep people employed. The Virginia office has been closed for over a year! Not a fan and unfortunately nothing better has come along to take its place.
