This review is for a technician named Jonathan. My 80 year old mother‘s cable box messed up a couple of weeks ago, and he came out today. He was very respectful. She said he was the nicest guy. He was out here for a few hours to upgrading everything and really took the time to explain things to her. She thought he deserved some recognition. Someone please make sure Jonathan sees this!
I normally don’t write google reviews, but this company randomly raises prices without warning, massive billing issues and the internet is always down. They get you wrapped up by a cheaper plan and after being with them for a certain amount of time my bill almost doubled. Extremely sketchy company and I would avoid them at all costs. 0/5 starts is my actual review. Go to another internet provider and save yourself the heartache.
If you can avoid it 100%, cancels your appointments the day of after waiting 2 weeks already for a repair person to figure out why we have 0 signal but the router works, call to see why they canceled on me than proceeds to schedule the appointment for another 2 weeks. Look out for their add ons for start up they snuck in phone service and charged us for a ground line we never had. They got that damn monopoly on rural areas but if you can pick any other option do not go with mediacom. I wish AT&T would come to my area.
Mediacom is about the worst internet out there. They were out last week to 'fix' our problems and now it is not much faster than DSL! Constant in and out - we are a mainly internet-based company and it is very irritating to have all these issues with what they charge. It at all possible - DO NOT GET THIS INTERNET
THE WORST INTERNET TO BUY. Everyday it’s spotty and connection is never guaranteed, you could be in the middle of an important call or interview, BAM, internet gone just like that, only reason we haven’t switched is because there’s no other providers, this IS THE WORST internet to buy, people came by the house today promising and reassuring the internet is fixed, funny how i’m currently typing this using my cellular data, DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD HOME WIFI.
