My internet service has been down for over 24 hours. I work from home. The quickest Mediacom can send a technician is 4 days from now. I experience intermittent outages (usually anywhere from a half hour to half a day) on a weekly basis. Unbelievable.
Just say no, get something else, they are horrible. Also they disconnected my service and continue to charge me and send to collections when I called and tried to pay but the costumer service people are so stupid and unhelpful they wouldn't take my payment. I returned thier equipment and they still charging me, do not get this service.
We have had an extremely frustrating experience with Mediacom, particularly with customer service and follow-through. We have experienced several outages. Each time, I have had to call customer service, and we were told that we would receive a credit for the outage. However, the credits were not applied to our account. A local contractor cut a line knocking out my internet. Mediacom said I had to wait 10 days for a technician. Really? In 2026? Absolute deal breaker for me. I can't wait to get a different ISP. I thought about posting the photo of my neighbor's temporary line that was installed in less than 24 hours by Nuvera when their line was similarly cut. How is Mediacom going to stay in business?
We moved. We had internet where there was competition and it cost 90 dollars for relatively quality internet from mediacom. we moved to a new home with a lower tier of internet but we had no other options. Soon we were paying 140 dollars for the same internet. They knew this and increased our price per month since they had a monopoly on the internet.
