This bank is great as long as you are not actually needing to talk to anybody. Very aggressive "collection" practices they claim to be industry standard. Even when a payment is just 5 days overdue. I understand there is a contract and payments must be made, but in my opinion - as a customer - the aggressiveness of the communication tactic must commensurate with the severity of the lateness and not assume ill intent. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Purchased a boat 4 months ago, still have not received registration or any paperwork. Yes, this bank is in charge of the registration and titling and not the dealership. Every time you call it is 30 to 45 minute hold time. All documents are done via the mail and not electronic.

I, too, would give Medallion Bank zero stars if I could. Daily amortizing interest rates on their loans? Yikes. These folks are running a barely legal operation. As part of consolidating all our revolving and installment debt, I contacted Medallion about getting a "30 day payoff letter" which was requested by my lender and is quite common. In fact, before this incident, I had requested and easily received SIXTEEN other payoff letters from other lenders. For none others was it a problem but Medallion. When I made the same re... read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Medallion Bank is the absolute WORSE bank I have dealt with in my 72 years of banking! I wanted to pay off my loan early because they are so awful. After sending a check certified with signed return receipt, they said did not receive my $15,000+ check. I stopped payment on the check and wire transferred the amount the same day. Amazingly enough, after a month and a half after I paid off the loan, my original check magically appeared. They should have just sent it back to me since my loa... read more

I am suspecting that my payment is not being posted the way it should be. I am requesting an itemized statement of account and an amortization schedule of my loan. I have been paying off a $28k loan for over a year at $480. "plus" a month. I still owe $27.434. Something is terribly flawed...

Please beware of this Bank , I have only had a loan with them for less than one month, After reading reviews the BBB I wanted to make sure I paid them off before the first due date, pay loan off still owe them Fifty-five dollars , interest rate occur daily, was not told that if I paid loan off I still have to pay interest on less than 30 days.

Would give them 0 if I could. I believe this company discriminates against seniors. Despite my perfect record of payments and a FICO score of 795-805, they turned me down for a home improvement loan. The payments would have been less than 8 percent of my guaranteed SS monthly income. Fortunately, I found a more reliable bank and got a great deal so I don't have to sell off my investments to get my house repaired. Tip: If you're retired, don't bother with this company.

Only giving them 1 star because I can't give 0. First off, when you're dealing with Medallion Bank, you're actually dealing with 3 different companies... Systems and Services Technologies (SST), Medallion Bank, and Alorica. Your payments are made through SST, your letters are from Medallion bank, and your representatives work for Alorica. Second, I requested a Voluntary Surrender on July 24th because I had become permanently disabled. They told me that they would call me the next week with information and send the paperwork.... read more
