I have been going to Mechanicsville Drug Store for almost over 30 years. Tommy, Alice and the rest of the staff are always so helpful and friendly. I have moved to Goochland and now live in Tappahannock, but will always go to MDS for all my prescription needs as well as the other unusual items they have. As the TV show used to say, "where everybody knows your name".
A great local pharmacy, not a big impersonal chain. The kind of place people remember your name when you go there and actually care about you. I've had nothing but great service. Many times I'll walk in and hand them a prescription and they will fill it on the spot with no wait. Also the food is great. Highly recommended.
why would you expect the pharmacist to ring up your prescription!!he/ she is busy as heck filling, answering phones,answering questions...expect him/her to ring it up too!! get a fricking grip, rph is multitasking their BUTT off!!
I have always had a positive experience here. I would prefer this place over any CVS or Walgreens.

Pharmacy is RISKY – Beware Of Pharmacy! I was given the WRONG medication, my prescription was mixed up with someone else. This place is old, outdated and the ladies fixing food don't always wear gloves. When I talked to the pharmacy, they didn't seem apologetic and acted as if it was no big deal. The WRONG MEDICATION is a big deal and can effect someone's health and LIFE. When I picked up my medication, it was usually given to me by someone who looked like they were a teenager age, not someone who has spent time and years in... read more
great breakfast counter – Real good food. Friendly service. Avoid the "chains" while places like this still exist.
