Decades ago, when I worked for Bank of America as a minor officer in their LA Tower. I was taught the first rule of banking was to "know your customer". That approach was applied, cheerfully in my favor, when my wife lost her debit card and all other IDs/cards. We all know no one uses checks, at all, and most use cash rarely, so this was a "big deal". I opened 2 accounts with Mechanics Bank. 2 days later, the back office closed my accounts.. I do not recommend Mechanics Bank.. The staff was friendly and helpful but the back office is awful.. I next went to US Bank, I recommend you bank with them. They are friendly, knowledgeable, very helpful. I recommend US Bank. You Decide.

Russ and his team were as professional and accommodating in person as they were over the phone. Max was efficient while executing my transaction with precision. I would be hard-pressed to find any room for improvement in overall customer experience.
