The rent goes up too much. The last two months I have not received a water bill. I went to the office today and she could have cared less. No explanation or apologies. She was very rude. I wasn't done with my question and she walked back to her desk. I had to call her back to the counter to answer the rest of my questions. Please make it possible to pay my water bill online like paying my rent on line.
Do not live at LJ commons if you are a female, especially if you're a student. There is a creepy guy who lives downstairs in 733. He is always staring and makes a point to come outside and smoke a cigarette almost every time my fiance and I come home. He told my fiance multiple times that he prefers to see her in shorts and tried to invite himself upstairs to our apartment more than once. As a student or not, DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF RENTING THROUGH MECCA. Corporate Real Estate, pathetic company. Overcharged us for gas and electric when we moved out three months prior and called it “administrative fees”. The office workers are extremely unhelpful and even hung up on me when voicing my displeasures. You are required to hire your own carpet cleaners upon moving out???? If your not a student,this place can be disheartening.
Even though Mecca Management manages a lot of properties and reviews can be mixed, my personal experience in my building has been extremely positive. I’ve lived here for over three years, and I’ve genuinely loved calling this place home. The management team has always been warm, kind, and attentive. They go out of their way to keep the property in great shape, with fresh landscaping every year, salt on the sidewalks and parking lot before icy weather hits, and recently, brand-new windows throughout the building.
