Great Dive/Restaurant I found this place during my lunch break, its definitely different from regular lunch places. It's more of a dive bar/restaurant, I have to be honest the place kind of freaked me out when I walked in because it was dark and people were drinking around noon but I decided to stay and try their food. I love the Mecca – What other dive and Seattle Institution gives you the best tuna melt under the sun and a waitress who makes one hell of a good bloody mary? Mecca is one of the best things about living in lower Queen Anne. If you haven't been here, go.
Mecca Coffee Rules – Oh, the coffee at the Mecca is like rocket fuel, only stronger. The drinks at the bar are equally as strong. The breakfast menu is heart-stoppingly awesome.
Don?t make the pilgrimage – My last visit to the Mecca was my last. All my friends and I wanted was some food and drinks. But all we got was the worst service (thanks in large part due to the lying, dimwitted, neanderthal bartender) I've ever had. Then, when I complained to the manager (I'm not convinced he really was the manager, but he claimed to be), he kicked me and my friends out. great breakfast – perfect spot for a greasy breakfast to cure your hangover. great bacon, chicken fried steak and most importantly great spicy bloody mary's
tip top two top tolerance, plus awesome hairfood – this place is great... stand in line with a friend on a busy weekend morning and they'll let you know that any four top that comes in behind you will be seated first. i love such honesty! also, their scrambled eggs come with not one but two pieces of hair. and it's long hair! i can't wait to go back. this is the hippest place i've been in a while.
