I walked up to the ER last Monday with my 12 year old daughter who is doing online school. My blood pressure was dangerously high 233/138. I was told that my daughter would not be able to come in the hospital by 2 idiot men. Not sure if they were security or what. I conveyed that my blood pressure was dangerously high and they said well your daughter can sit on the curb but she can’t go in. I went to Suncoast Medical (Baycare) for a CT of the abdomen. I had a recent procedure at another facility where the nurse could not insert the iv for contrast in my vein at first. They then brought in a portable Ultrasound-Guided IV Machine to look at deeper veins and the nurse was immediately able to easily insert the IV. Went to this place in 2019. When I first went I was welcomed, showed them my insurance, and was told it was accepted and that it would be free of charge because of my insurance. Went dozens of times no charges or copays, over the year I went. My last appointment was in the beginning of 2020. It is now March of 2021, and I received a notice from a debt collector of a unpaid services. NEVER had to pay or sign anything, but now over two years since the start/end of my treatment, they want to claim my insurance wont cover fully ... read more

This morning when I walked up to the desk for a blood test, I was immediately told by the "Clerk" at the desk that I needed a face mask. I told her that I cannot wear the "Traditional" mask because I am on oxygen. I have to wear a "Plastic Shield" so that I can breathe. Then, another woman (rudely) came over and told me the same thing and I told her her the same thing. Medical care is reasonably good. Their call center and phone will not properly work all the time. They never seems to be interested to fix the problem. We cannot leave message to call back for issues, concerns or appointments.

They are guilty of deceptive and fraudulent billing practices. Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practice statute clearly protects the consumer from "a doctor fails to fully disclose the price of the medical treatment or services to be rendered". I plainly requested a new patient visit and was quoted $114 for uninsured patient. They billed us $479 for services which were not requested nor performed. After 6 months of waiting on hold MANY hour and sending letters of dispute, they refuse to take responsibility. We are filing ... read more

Been there a few times,was admitted a few times people upstairs are very nice but in the er very unprofessional!Was diagnosed with covid jan 10,so was in and out of hospital cause my body was out of wack,seen by a doctor dorian k madrid nurse practioner,very rude and unprofessional.I think she needs a new profession was in a bad mood just wanted her to do her job have had problems with her twice ! Scheduling is a nightmare. Spent hours - yes, hours- trying to make an appointment but never talked with a human. Finally scheduled somewhere else, even though I’ve been going to Bardmoore radiology for the past several years for yearly mammogram.
