Dr. Shepherd and her staff were all fantastic! Thoroughly explained options and were caring and attentive. Would absolutely recommend!
Dr. Meagan Shepherd has treated both me and my children for various allergies - counseling us from how to manage medication allergies to helping successfully desensitize my son to eggs. In an area where care can be hard to find, we are lucky to have someone as well trained, knowledgeable and kind as Dr. Shepherd. There arent many choices for allergists in the area. As an allergist and doctor, she is good. But, the office is SLOW and seemingly always an hour or more behind. For an 11am appointment, we got into a room 1.5 hours late and then waited another 45 minutes before being seen (~15 minutes in the room). Fine as a doctor but the office is a dumpster fire. Plan for a full day basically.
Dr. Shepherd was very friendly and very knowledgeable, but during my visit she referred me to Cabell to do additional testing which was fine. However, since then nobody from Dr. Shepherds office reached out to me about any of my test results.
Took my 8yr old for allergy testing and it was the smoothest process! My son was nervous and the nurses talked him through it and made him feel so calm and comfortable. I have and will always recommend them to any and everyone! We enjoy the doctor and the nurses there!
