i was worried that my mom had to leave her home after my father's recent death and concerned that she be happy. i was overwhelmed with the wonderful welcome, the lovely environs, the delicious restaurant and all the amazing things she can do. i leave reassured and happy for her and cant wait to come back from Australia to visit her again!!!!
As a native of Bloomington I have had several friends and family members live at Meadowood, and it has consistently remained a space of positivity and attentiveness. I appreciate how they keep their patrons (my Grandmother) active and engaged with community events, provide safe transportation, and the FOOD. IS. EXCELLENT!
I moved to Meadowood July 1. 2016 from North Carolina with my Golden Retriever, Bella. I am 74 years old and am taking advantage of all the activities offered. There are really so many I have to pick and choose. I play nine holes of golf on Mondays. I go to the college football games, girls' volleyball, now boys' and girls' basketball games. I also go to the opera. With all of these, bus transportation is provided. The meals are delicious and well presented. What more can I say? I love Meadowood!!
Meadowood is a wonderful place to work and an amazing community to retire to!
My late grandma Dee Holtman was there for a couple of years before we moved her to Arizona and was treated well. She went to be w Jesus last year around Thanksgiving after a fall. I would visit her and she loved being able to eat w her friends and getting her hair done w out having to leave the facility. She often got her nails pained by a nurse.
The residents and staff are just wonderful, i love working here. I learn more things here from the residents , it's all history stuff and life experiences. I would never have thought in a million years I would be working in a retirement comunity and actually enjoy it as much as I do thank you meadowood for hiring me.
There is no place like this: truly my "Heaven on Earth" with wonderful people, happy staff, beautiful grounds, nature walks and gardens, local trips to games, world-class concerts, theater and art exhibits. We are so happy!
