I had a great experience with Dr. Gallo while inquiring about his practice. I found him to be very down to earth, pleasant, and informative. I did not experience an elitist attitude at all. Quite the contrary, upon the start of our conversation, I told him that their practice was out of my league financially. He continued to speak with me for several minutes and provided the names of several other physicians that would be better suited for my situation. He did not have to do that!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Gallo for nine years and I was shocked to come across the one-star review posted by 'Anonymous'. MD2 has a long waiting list because they are the best concierge medicine practice in Chicago! I have a very complicated medical condition, that requires sophisticated coordination, careful monitoring and sometimes urgent at-home visits for critical situations. During a phone meet-and-greet arranged by an assistant, Dr. Gallo was asked about the MD2 financial retainer, what was covered, and how it dovetails with health insurance and HSA's. Failing to describe his business practice both on the Rush video profile (for which he is affiliated) and during the conversation, he replied, "if you have to ask how much it costs you're not right for the practice."
