Very welcoming environment with very experienced staff. They provided snacks and beverages.
I’ve tried Red Cross, and Gulf Coast, and by far this is the best donor center i’ve been. Super efficient, painless, and a plentiful selection of snacks and real meals afterwards.
I wish I could give them 6 stars! The staff is outstanding, they do such a great job drawing the blood. I have used this facility for 2 years now and I cant brag enough about the place! Also, some of the techs/nurses are very funny but still professional. Makes coming to donate that much more fun.
Today was the first time I donated with MD Anderson. I usually donate at Gulf Coast Blood Center. The staff was polite and professional, and the intake was quick and informative. If you're seeking a place to donate, I highly recommend this location. In addition to their amazing staff, their facilities were immaculate.
I made an appointment to donate blood for 4:45pm. Got to the location at 4:54pm. They close at 5pm. I was told I couldn't donate blood because they shut down the system. It's weird because everyone's always encouraged to donate blood... here's a candidate but let's shutdown the system... What a huge disappointment.
