I donated blood here for the first time this summer and had a very (O) positive (pun intended) experience. The staff calmed my nerves and the blood draw itself was fairly painless and went by quickly. They also had a nice assortment of free snacks, beverages, and even salad from Farmers Fridge afterward. If you're thinking about donating blood, do it!
I cannot tell you how amazing the people in here are. I love them all so much. They took great care of me. Donated white blood cells and it went so smooth.
Every time I go I joke With my wife it’s like a mini vacation because they pamper me so much. Love this place and will continue to be a long time donor
The UT MD Anderson Blood Donor Center is a great place to donate blood. Derek was excellent, and the process was completely painless. The entire experience was quick, and the facility even provides snacks, a new shirt, and an umbrella for donors. It’s also reassuring to know the donations go toward a meaningful cause and support a nonprofit effort.
The entire staff is great, but Don is an absolute standout. His natural ability to connect with everyone—patients and colleagues alike—creates an atmosphere of genuine care. Yesterday, while prepping a patient who mentioned having no friends or family, Don instantly replied, "What do you mean? I'm your friend!" and kept her laughing and at ease throughout. His positivity, empathy, and inclusiveness are exactly what healthcare needs. Management: promote this man.
