We purchased a new home from McStain Neighborhoods in late 2026. It has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences of our lives. From the day we took possession, the primary bedroom and bathroom had zero airflow — confirmed by two independent HVAC companies using an anemometer. The rooms were uninhabitable. Nice neighborhood and floor plans, great amenities and location.
As a local agent I get asked about builders all the time. Truly, some have quite the reputation in a negative way. But not McStain! They are small builder mentality with big builder skills and backing. They truly treat every home as if it was a state of the art building. Which is unheard of, especially in Colorado. Buying an Aspen Series home in Westerly (2024) from McStain Neighborhoods was a smooth process. The sales team was friendly, knowledgeable, and easyto work with. This builder was definitelythe right choice. The after-sales superintendent was responsive and helpful throughout the first year (and beyond), all issues were addressed quickly. Westerly by McStain is just a wonderful example of what McStain does right. Beautiful designs complimenting the scenic area. In Erie, they have kept that small town feel and family friendly focus while still feeling very modern. McStain has built in Boulder County since the late 70’s, such a great builder to have in Colorado
