Our annual 4th of July dinner at McMillan's was not disappointing. Dinner was served perfectly and meal preparation was excellent. Of course, what makes the day perfect is watching the "Striking of the Colors" and the famous Roche Harbor Fireworks...Happy Birthday America!!!
Extraordinary food, from the "simple " burgers for the kids to the amazing Copper River Salmon, the halibut cheeks, and the outstanding Prime Rib. The service was first class. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The desserts were deliciously decadent. A standout meal and a wonderful evening having my mom for a visit.
Extremely disappointed in experience with the staff of this restaurant for our 30th Anniversary. But I do want to convey that our overall experience on San Juan Island, including Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor, was amazing and great. This was the anomaly. Unfortunately, this was what we planned to cap off our weekend of celebrating and we were tremendously disappointed. Great food, great service, solid ambience. A must have when your visiting San Juan Island.
The chief DJ knows his gourmet foods, he is an awesome magician in the kitchen. Constantly coming up with tantalizing surprises. I give it 5 taste stars!
