After creating a successful, microbrew pub empire in Portland, the McMenamin brothers brought their techniques to Seattle. They've opened three consciously cozy pubs here, this one on lower Queen Anne Hill, Six Arms Brew Pub and Dad Watson's. The long, dark room has high-backed booths and tables. Order the soup of the day with a sandwich and a pint and you're set for the afternoon. The wait staff won't hurry you out. Also try the daily cake and pie specials.

Had an awesome time with my mother last night! We were walking around the neighborhood after going to see the nutcracker, and stumbled upon this little place. The food was amazing, especially the pumpkin gnocchi. But our waitress was even better!!!!! I wish I had gotten her name. It was 12/23 and 11 at night, she had very dark almost black wavy hair and lots of beautiful tattoos on her arms and shoulders. She was really funny and went out of her way to help us! I'll definitely keep this place in mind, next time I'm in town.
