McMenamins Chapel Pub is such a gem! I ordered the Communications Breakdown sub with the Beyond Meat veggie patty and it was excellent. They make their own sauces and you can really taste the freshness—everything came together perfectly. The fries were crispy and flavorful, and the portion was generous for the price. Excellent service and food. Music was not relaxing.
This business was originally called the Wilson-Chambers Mortuary. It was built in 1932 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. This is a cool looking historical building and a must see. The bartender was very nice and told me some of the history of the building. Be sure to check out the food.
I had to walk around for 5 min to find someone to seat me. I had to walk around to find someone to take my order. I had to walk around to find someone to order another drink. The bathroom needs a code, I had to walk around to find someone to give me the code. I had to go find someone to get to-go containers. The staff was hiding in the kitchen.
