My husband and I have purchased furniture at Mclaughlin's in Novi and and have had very good experiences both times. In my opinion the furniture is high quality and the staff was helpful. The first sale was with a gentleman, who new a lot about baseball and was fun to talk with, really went the extra mile arranging shipping, etc. Next, a saleswoman checked out fabric availability and alternatives for a piece we needed even though it was a smaller sale. I have to say it's one of my favorite furniture stores!
I visited the store late this afternoon with my husband in search of a couch. We will NEVER return! Nor recommend it. My family and extended family has purchased furniture at your store(s) for decades. The salesman seemed bothered to help us (once somebody was finally found in the store). He was cold, rude, & raced us throughout the store. Both my husband & I were appalled at the representation of store and the treatment we received. Mrs. Parker - I apologize you did not receive the attention you were looking for when you visited on Saturday. I have spoken with the person involved and he was very apologetic and certainly didn't think he "rushed" you through the store as you mentioned.
