The nurses are so unprofessional it’s unreal! Yelling in front of my residents social workers claiming they are nurses then want to bring up a resident we had let them go from cause they hurt her. I would never ever recommend McLaren hospice for ANYTHING!! If I could give negative stars I would!!
My mom had dementia and she was falling in and out of the hospital over a 6 month period. She didn’t want to go to the hospital any longer. We knew it was time for hospice to come in. We signed up in Sept and she died right before Christmas. She had a great experience. She was comforted, had music therapy and a massage therapist came out. She was so cute. Excellent care for both of my grandparents (10 years apart). We never wanted or needed for anything and they were extremely respectful and responsible. I was in the health care field for over 10 years myself and would highly recommend McLaren Hospice to anyone!
Horrible customer service. It is ironic at discharge of McLaren hospital they just assign people their own home health care company that can’t see patients timely or available for questions to help people care for loved ones that have not seen in days! Beacon Homecare was responsive, followed through will be out within 24 hours.
I wouldn't let them take care of my dying dog after experiencing the care (or lack there of) that they provided to my Mother. McLaren's care was acceptable while they were delivering $36,000 chemo treatments. But as soon as hospice care started, the care they provided was unacceptable and when she was transported to the hospital for uncontrolled symptoms, she told me they were mean and rough with her.
