My quadriplegic brother was taken to McLaren via ambulance. I was extremely worried waiting to get called back into the ER room where he was because I was concerned that he was laying back there waiting to be seen and also that he was in no condition to give an accurate history. However, once we were called back we found him hooked up to monitors, they had drawn blood although veins were bad and blood coagulated. They kept trying and finally put in a shunt.
