Simon is absolutely the best Luthier around. He does outstanding work, treats customers exceptionally well and really supports the local community of string musicians. If you're looking for an instrument for any level, repair, or proper setup, Simon is the go to guy.

Mr. McHugh, Simon, is an artisan. He has supported my daughter's music career. He helps students find their perfect match. He is generous, trusting and so kind. He puts his heart into each instrument. We've bought all our cellos from him.
Simon has been so extremely helpful with helping us find and get a bass. He puts the customer first above all. He knows what he is talking about and is the only place we take my daughters bass to. If you haven't been you need to go visit the shop.
