Luke was my client's builder in Harbison Grove. I have nothing but great things to say about Luke. He went above and beyond to make sure my clients and I were satisfied. He never said no or that he couldn't. He said yes, or he would find out. Even when he had to find out from his superiors, the answer ultimately was yes. In 20 years of real estate, Luke is one of the best builders I have had the pleasure of working with. My clients stated that if they decide to build a custom home, they would like Luke to be their builder.
What should have been a WONDERFUL experience was turned into a horrible nightmare. I was the first person to put a contract in for South Lake Commons new development, which means I got a fridge, washer and dryer. During the 1st walk (7/11, Friday), Fridge was not there but I was told by Bill the fridge should be in by closing which was a week later. BUYER BEWARE!! I was set to close on a house in Ashton Lakes, Lot #88 1144 Citation Street in Lexington, SC, on June 14th but ended up walking away because of the shoddy workmanship this company presented to me and refused to fix. I did my "blue tape" walk through on June 2 and pointed out things that needed to be fixed. McGuinn Homes did not disclose a drainage problem at Harbison Grove - I bought a townhome in October 2019. Every time it rains I have ankle-deep stormwater/runoff in my parking spots. I have been asking for it to be fixed since the problem started after I moved in for it to be fixed. The community was not graded/pitched correctly. I have been ignored and never get an answer.
