I had my Hyundai ELANTRA towed to the dealership to have the positive terminal clamp shown in picture below replaced and if necessary for the battery to be replaced. They wanted to charge me a diagnostic charge of over $200 and I said that was not necessary as I knew what the problem was. It was the clamp in the picture. Shortly afterwards, I returned a missed call to the service department and they quoted me $1600.. We had the pleasure of meeting and working with David Calder on our Genisis purchase. It was a fun experience. David is very personable while maintaining a professional demeanor. He expressed that he'd only been with Hyundai for a week or two, but we would have never expected it. He was very knowledgeable and resourceful if needed. We felt like old friends after a while. As a fellow dog lover, we enjoyed learning about his dogs too.
This dealership is a complete scam. I came in for a simple oil change that was already included in my maintenance package. Without my permission, the service advisor at (209) 662-6400 added an “oil injection” service I never asked for, then had the nerve to demand I pay for it. This is blatant dishonesty and an obvious attempt to overcharge customers. They gave no explanation, no approval request, and no respect for the customer’s trust. "Warranty Repair Mishandled – Charged for Work Caused by Defect" Hyundai confirmed our Elantra had excessive oil consumption and approved a warranty engine replacement. But the dealership only replaced the short engine block, not the full engine. On top of that, we were charged nearly $900 for belts and hoses that were only replaced because of the engine defect. Buyer beware. They are not honest and DO NOT give you the information you need. NEVER trust them when it comes to so called Mandatory Protection Package. That Protection Package with almost $4,000 additional charge. THEY DID NOT SHOW ME THE METROGUARD PROTECTION PACKAGE CONTRACTING GIVING ME THE OPTION TO SIGN. This form also came with a cancellation option but they marked $00.00 in cost so there was no way to cancel and get any kind of refund. TEXAN HYUNDAI ROSENBERG IS FRAUD. Walk away.
We had a really good time dealing with Gator due to his down to earth nature and knowledge of the vehicles he showed us. I would definitely recommend him if I were ever looking for another vehicle.
