This clinic just killed my friend's puppy. He went in for a routine fix and got a call that the puppy was dead. How does something like this happen? The most routine procedure just doesn't go THAT wrong. Never take your animals here! Faithful Friends in Rogers will treat you and your pets with the kind of compassion and love that is deserved. I cannot stress enough to NEVER take your animals here if you care about their safety.
It's time for doc to retire. I've been bringing my dogs here for 7 years but no more. I recently had to take my dog to Osage since the clinic is closed for COVID-19, and upon his first and only visit to Osage I was told that he had cancer with maybe 2 weeks left to live, which ended up being 3 days before he was put down. My dog has had 4-5 visits with doc over the last 6 months and cancer was something that was NEVER once mentioned. Either doc didn't know or he chose not to tell us, but either is unacceptable. We’ve been seeing McDowell for just about 5 years. We moved here in 2015 and our pregnant dog decided to give birth during the 13 hour drive here. McDowell was the only vet to pick up the phone and see our puppies. 3 years ago we took our bichon shih tzu mix in to the emergency vet in Springdale because he’d ruptured a disc in his spine late one Saturday. They said he’d need to go to Tulsa for a $4,000 surgery or be put down. We took pain medication home and scheduled an appt for Monday with Doc. We were sure he’d be put to ... read more
Today was our first visit to McDowell Animal Clinic and we were so impressed. The staff was so welcoming and Doc was kind and patient with us and all our questions. Everyone loved on our new Great Dane, Dirk. We are excited to get to know everyone and introduce our other dogs to Doc and the crew at McDowell Animal Clinic!

Dr. McDowell and his staff showed so much care and compassion when we had to put our best friend down after 17 years. He also is great with our healthy dogs. 10/5 stars!!
