I eat here frequently, esp for breakfast, but also for lunch 2-3 times/week. The workers are friendly and service is fast. Food is generally good, with one exception... The fries here are awful at least 70% of the time!! I'm not kidding. They are often soggy, undercooked, greasy, and generally inedible. Very sub-par for McDonalds fries! This McDonalds at 1510 Oakland Ave. is wonderful. What makes it so is the crew!! They produce great food, and are caring and friendly. They'll even do special orders, if for ex, you'd like something "well done." And they do all of this with a smile! I can't say enough good things about them. The food is typically excellent. Well maintained and clean. Friendly service with minimal wait. Paid $6.88 for Hamburger Happy Meal. For all McDonald's reputation for being kid friendly, many other establishments give free toys, games, and crayons to children. There is a good selection (IHOP, Denny's, Bob Evans, Hoss's, Ruby Tuesday, etc.) where kids eat free. McDonald's is exploiting and unethical in marketing to children -- this is not kid friendly.
Got there at 8:50 pm to go get my order. My phone app wasn't working so I was going in to order to go. It was closed! Not the drive thru just the dining room. The dining room is not supposed to be closed that early on a Friday evening. So I called and they said they were short staffed. I do understand that these things happen but when I worked the food industry we were not allowed to close. We just had to work harder.
