Do not order from this McDonald’s. It’s not like a regular airport McDonald’s that is fast and efficient i.e. DEN airport. It’s a nightmare and so many people weren’t able to get their orders including myself this morning because it just took too long. All I ordered was one egg McMuffin and 26 minutes later I had to go head out to my flight and I spoke to other people who walked away from their orders as well. Order at the kiosk but then wait in line anyways because they don't accept payment at this kiosk. You also can't use rewards of deals from the app here.
I was at the mcdonalds in DTW near Spirit. It was crazy busy. Probably 50 people wanting their orders all at the same time. The 2 women who were clearly running the show, were working incredibly hard. They were professional and polite in spite of people being rude and angry and complaining. I was very impressed with the integrity and professionalism with which they handled themselves. I hope you realize what great employees you have and treat them accordingly. Great to watch!
Possibly the worst McDonalds in the United States. As an airline pilot I pass through many airport concourses / terminals. DTW D concourse McDonalds is possibly the worst I have experienced in multiple visits. You order from a kiosk but are then told you can not pay at the kiosk as the pay-pad which was lit goes dark when it’s time to pay so you are given the option to join the long line of people from the other 7 kiosks waiting to pay. Lamento que las personas tengan que trabajar en horarios laborales tan tarde, sin embargo la manera en la que atienden y se refieren hacia ti tan despectivamente, cual si estuvieras pidiendo una limosna.
