This place is a joke. can't ever get anyone on the phone and takes days to answer emails. I've been waiting for almost a week for my so called doctor to type in some prescription renewals. Apparently it's hard to do because they are still not in yet. We pay for Tricare Prime but I am switching to a civilian doctor so maybe I can receive quality care.

From: Denise Nov 27, 2018 I just called Tricare, and they do not have any open referrals for me, other than to Virginia Oncology. I need a referral to rule out cancer, as stated in the summary of my pet-scan report, and also for physical therapy for my right hand that I was told would be put in, so I can waste another 2 months before getting a referral to someone who can diagnose & treat, my hand properly. First I have been waiting for 50 minutes past my appointment time to see a provider as of now, who knows how much longer it will be. My first meeting with this provider and not making a good impression. This is costing me a very important appointment with the VA that will surely take another month or so to reschedule not to mention another day off of work. This lack of staffing is ridiculous. Basically forcing retirees out as making them go out and have copays for everything.
I would like to commend and congratulate you for having Mr. Joseph Mueller on your team at the Family Health Clinic, MCACH, Fort Eustis. In this day and age of having to battle Tricare contractors for treatments not dictated by what insurance will, or will not cover, it is great to know that we have someone like Joe Mueller to advocate for us military families.
