Probably the busiest of the Austin area stores. You won't get a recording when you call, though sometimes, when they're busy you might be on hold for a bit. The parking lot and yard are very small for the amount of business they do. It's usually packed between 7:30 am and 10 am, so expect a bit of a wait for materials in the yard. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. There are definitely some improvements that can be made, but overall better than the box stores.
For a small store, they really have a lot of variety and choices. They also are extremely helpful. I'm glad Dayton finally got out of its protection mode let them open here.
Very busy and short staffed, but you would hardly notice this. Its very rare for a customer to have to wait behind more than 1 person. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. No automated phone system. When you call you get a live person right away. If they dont have what you need, they will find who has it or order it for you. It needs to be said, this is a building supply store. It has supplies for repairs and building things, not decorative materials.
Horrible customer service. Don't bother setting up a delivery time because they deliver it when it's convenient for them. When I called to complain the assistant manager could have cared less. Granbury gets my business now

I find the staff here friendly and helpful. I can normally find what I need at this store and don't have to go somewhere else...they pack a lot into a small store.
I shopped at McCoy's for the first time and instantly noticed that the employees are miserable to be there. They are not helpful and huff at eachother. I placed a special order for trim and when I received it I noticed it was almost broken into two pieces! I had no more time to reorder but they should have never sent that home with me.
