Jake's is the Place for Dinning to celebrate special events – My wife & I celebrated our 39th Wedding Anniversary last night September the 30th. What a great evening place to relax and eat and enjoy our evening. Thanks, again Don was our waiter KC & Stephen

Violently ill after eating Jake's seafood – I got a horrific case of food poisoning after eating shrimp at this restaurant. I contacted them by phone and email to let them know about it, and never received a response. I was ill with SEVERE stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days. I did contact the Oregon health department, so I would suggest staying away if you want to stay out of the toilet.

Smallest Clams in History – I was playing poker in the casino right next to this restaurant. Thought I'd order the steamed clams. I asked the waitress, how many usually come with the order. She said, more than a dozen. So I thought ok, can't screw this up. Got the order, the clams were the size of nickels, couldn't believe it. If I had my camera I would have taken a picture and added it here. Way , way overpriced for clams from the Pygmy Islands. Avoid this place.

Eat the menu, not the fish. – If one could eat reputation and history, this would perhaps be a good restaurant. However, if one likes and appreciates seafood, stay far away from Jakes. At one point I considered putting salt on the menu and eating it. It would have had more flavor than any of the four dishes we had. How can one take fresh seafood and extract all of the taste? I have eaten seafood all over the world and I have never paid so much for so little. Is this a Portland joke? Is there anything less than one star?

First Visit - So Disappointed – The history of this famous Portland restaurant was the best part. And, the atmosphere is very happening. I love seafood. I had the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten. I don't treat myself to them often, and I thought oh they will be so good here, so I must! They were burnt! I really should have sent them back. My husband was also displeased with his meal. The prices are crazy expensive, which is totally fine as long as you get what you pay for. Won't go there again. Many other places which a... read more

Overrated, overpriced. Bad service, bad food – Ate there tonite with a friend. Lousy service... our waiter started out the evening by serving us water with his bare fingers all over the rims of our glasses. He then forgot to bring us bread. Then he forgot to put blue cheese on our salads. Then he didn't bring us lemon for our fish (which had no flavor and had tons of breading). Our salads were tiny and over priced. Our fish, as I said, was tasteless. We got no potatoes or any other side dish with our fish except broccoli (yu... read more

Brunch not for Lunch please – We went to McCormick's for Easter Brunch and it was terrible. So bad that we have no desire to go back even for a regurlar meal. We had fruit flies flying around us, the fruit consisted of melon and pineapple. If you wanted berries they were by the melted chocolate. Strawberries were cut up and they had a small bowl of the mixed berries that you would use a tooth pick to get them. Clearly they did not want you to have too much. Food was very average and that is being kind. Salmon was good. I gue... read more

Avoid this Over-Priced Tourist Trap – May have been good in the past but awful now. We had steak and seafood. The steak was Morton's prices and Sizzler quality. The ala carte baked potato was under cooked and the clam chowder wayyy too salty. My fisherman's platter (recommended by the waitperson) could have been from Long John Silver's. The cheesy interior was fun and the service was OK. My tab with drinks (no wine) and tip for two people was $130. I won't be back.

Not so much – Order the crabcake sandwich...very disappointing. If you spend $20 for lunch you expect better food. Not all McCormick & Schmick's are like this one.
