Great for Groups – I had never been to McCormick's before, but decided to go for my birthday. They easily accomidated all 14 of us, and even had menus printed that said "Happy Birthday" on them. Hands down, it was one of the best meals of my life. We had goat cheese bruschetta, clam chowder, crab cakes, salmon stuffed with brie and crab, sea scallops, tiger shrimp pasta...everyone LOVED their meal. never going back and telling everyone i know – The food is mediocre - bottom line. For seafood?- Oceanairre. (even though I don't like chains) I'm here to vent about the manager. Great Customer Service – For my birthday, my friends and I decided to try something different. We gathered a list of restaurants downtown, put them in a hat, and I chose which one we would be going to. I am so glad I chose this restaurant! The reviews weren't great but we had "excellent" service from "Kara" and our food was amazing! The prices were high but well worth it due to the excellent service and amazing food. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Boring...needs CPR – I have usually enjoyed dining downtown Minneapolis. When you are in a great city, you expect great food and great service. Not going to find either at this place. The hosts were very nice, welcoming and we thought it was going to be a great dinner. We had enjoyed the bar area too. Pass on the Almond Crusted Whitefish – Ive been here for happy hour, which has great food deals but all drinks are still full price. I went to dinner here recently on a Friday night at 8:00ish. Did not need reservation, and was seated right away. I wasnt too impressed with the whole experience. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things. The bread was cold. McCormick's & Bricks – I order the $14 crab cake ap. I got a deep fried brick, quickly returned to to the waiter. It was something I would expect from Burger King. Go to Oceanaire as they do not deep fry their food, Mccormicks is a joke and is worse than White Castle and cost a lot more.
Service needs work – Everything was great except for the service. The sevrvice was a little lagging, but I did talk to a manager and they did make up for what had been wwronged. What the other people that complained on this site have forgot is there spine to say somthing. If you do the management will usually do something to make your experince more pleasureable and to make sure you return. I know I will.
Great Food, but mediocre service... – It is for sure one of the best places to get fresh seafood in town. Every meal weve had there was excellent and exceptionally fresh. Selection of oysters is simply awesome. We managed to try 5 different kinds and they were all good, but pretty small. However, the service is pretty mediocre, not really rude, but rather disorganized. I think, they need to hire more wait-staff, so customers could get more personal attention. Prices are Ok too.
Good Food - Drinks - Horrible Service – We dined with 4 other - a total of six at our table. We were seated promptly by the hostess and she did a wonderful job of introducing us to the establishment and letting us know our waitress would be there soon. If you call 9 minutes soon I guess she was right. Our waitress asked us for our drink order. As my brother was asking for her opinion on some Scotch she suddenly had to leave us and go to another table - so after nine plus minutes there we are still waiting just to put in the ... read more
