I needed a fire pit converted from propane to natural gas heading into Mother’s Day weekend. Probably could have done it myself. The plumber, Pat, was respectful, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. I needed a water heater swap—replacing the old unit with a new one—and he handled everything quickly and efficiently. Before the work began, I was informed of the hourly rate and an estimated cost for parts, and I approved the installation. The plumber was great. Respectful and professional. I needed a fix on a leaking back flow pump. I’m a new home owner and probably could have figured it out myself but they charge 150 an hour for their service (minimum 1 hour). I asked how much the parts were and they said 50$ bucks so I said go ahead and fix it. I got the invoice and it was $290: $150 for time and $140 for parts… so I paid 3x what the part really costs for overhead?!? I practically never write reviews, but we feel it’s worthwhile to share our experience. I want to clarify that we had a seamless experience prior with McComb fixing a cracked sprinkler pipe. They were quick, efficient and professional. Shortly after though, on May 27th, they did repair work in our home. By June 4th, we discovered a major leak in our basement due to something not being installed correctly.
