I believe without a shadow of a doubt, my beloved boxer Ziggy lived much longer than expected with cancer because of the treatment given by Dr. McLawhorn. Had our first visit with Dr. McLawhorn this morning, and Pearl liked him right away (and so did I!). Everything went very well, and Pearl thanked him by covering him with Boxer kisses - the beginning of a beautiful relationship! :-)
Took care of aging dog to the end, with thought and care, above and way beyond our expectations.
I think the world of Dr Mclawhorn, he has given me several of my cats & doggie many months & years with them that I would not have had if it were not for him. He is a wise veterinarian, & very gentle with my animals. Over the years I have been to many vets. when Dr McLawhorn was out of town or not open & I can tell you he stands head & shoulders above any other vet I have been to, ( this not referring to his height either).
If you're looking for a veterinarian who will always put the best interests of your pet first, and who will always be 100% honest with you, then you've found him. Dr McLawhorn may not tell you what you *want* to hear, but he will always tell you what you need to know for your pet's health. He can also teach you more about animal care in five minutes than you ever knew existed! ;)
