Dr Neary saved my life by diagnosing me with postpartum depression back in 2000, after my gynecologist just told me to go see a psychiatrist (no explanation, no diagnosis theories, no testing, no assistance of any kind). I will always be grateful to Dr. Neary for her kindness & compassion. She was seeing me for the first time, for a plugged milk duct, but she took the time to listen & explain what she was seeing.
She was my PCP for two years, during which she advised me to stop looking for remedies to pain alongside by left jaw & ear. She prescribed antibiotics five times in five month period. She did nothing to discover why such an odd thing could be happening. She advised me to stop my travels to the oHSU doctors in Portland for help. I found her to be hostile and a big disappointment. I was a fool to stay with her for so long.

Terrible experience. I went to her with what was later diagnosed by a neurologist as post viral transverse myelitis. The symptoms were incapacitating. I was off work for 2 months. Without any testing or work up, she told me I had fibromyalgia, then she completely wrote me off. Unprofessional, lacking in compassion and knowledge. My advice, look elsewhere for a decent physician.
