Brian is extremely methodical, thorough and knowledgeable. Aside from that, he makes himself available to answer questions very generously. He did the mechanical survey on a boat I purchased, made the necessary repairs promptly and took the time to educate me regarding the Volvo engines which were new to me. After the purchase he continued to support me while the boat was moved out of town. Truly remarkable professional. Exceptional service.

I initially chose McDonnell Marine Service, LLC for their past reliability and expertise, particularly regarding Volvo Penta maintenance and repair. However, my recent experience has been disappointing. Over a month ago, I reported a steering issue with one of my D6 IPS drives, which required prompt attention. Despite multiple phone calls and voicemails, I received no response from the service department. Mc Donnell Marine is simply the best. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and they go above and beyond. Brian did a sea trial with me ten years ago for a TAMD41P-A, he fit it in between jobs he was doing in the area. I couldn't get him to bill me so I just sent him a check, and this was after he'd spent a lot of time on the phone with me answering my questions leading up to the survey. Simply the best! We meet Brian during the mechanical survey of our Regal : the best mechanical survey I ever had. Simply. Brian is a real mechanic with a deep knowledge of the VP systems which - as a mechanical engineer - I highly appreciate. Since then We used McDonnel for all our VP needs. Dan has been always helpful and available to answer all my questions and Chris always ready to shop spare parts! Impressive stock and service.
