I rented from McDaniel Properties during my time at LSU. I was a struggling college student with no financial help from my parents. This was the cheapest place I could find. The bathroom walls were literally rotting. The dry wall was like sludge or clay that was moist and full of mold. Slugs were constantly coming through the drain into the tub. I stayed here almost three years and I couldn’t wait to leave . The houses are just really old and needed new wiring and plumbing ... we always had breakers flip , the windows are barred shut so you could not open them but the floors were not sealed so dust would come up between the planks of the floor as well as the house could never hold heat or air ... there is no central ac or heat so you have to use window units and space heaters .

House is older, but well taken care of. Any repair needs are handled in a timely manner and it is obvious this company cares about their tenants. A joy to rent from.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS SLUMLORD. MARVIN MCDANIEL AND DOUG GARLAND PREY on poor people and are not used to people knowing their rights. He does not know how to take care of his property. McDaniel is the epitome of a slumlord, and his manager Doug Garland is a horrible person. Doug showed my mother a house that was nice and clean and then when it was time to move, he gave me the most disgusting house I have ever lived in.
