Needed some rough framing done for a garage conversion, so I asked around. A buddy in Evanston recommended MB, and I’m glad he did. They came out, measured everything, and had a quote back to me within a couple of days. started this whole thing back in spring. we were doing an addition off the back and needed someone just for the rough framing part, general we had was booking out forever. found MB through a contractor buddy in Oak Park who used them on a garage build. gave them a call, they came by the next week to look at the plans and gave a number that felt fair. scheduling took a bit because they were busy but once they started they moved fast. walls, floor system, roof framing all done in about a week and half. everything was square an... read more
Called about rough carpentry for a bump out. Got a few Chicago quotes and MB explained the framing plan best. Guys were quiet, kept the site clean, and the walls went up straight. Good experience.
Had a sagging wall in the rear of the house and MB came out to open it up. And redo the framing. Turned out a stud pack was rotted. They rebuilt that section and the floor feels solid now.
Needed rough framing done for an addition off the back. MB knocked it out faster than I thought. Walls went up straight, headers all looked solid. The lead carpenter actually explained what he was doing when I asked dumb questions. Priced fair too... solid framing work.
