Had MB Framing handle the rough carpentry for a renovation we were doing on our second floor. They framed out two new bedrooms and restructured a hallway wall that needed to be moved. What I appreciated most was how precise everything was - the door openings were square, the walls were plumb, and the headers were all done correctly for the load above. Our remodel hit a wall when it became clear a couple of interior walls and openings were not lined up for the new layout. MB Framing Carpentry handled the rough framing and got everything set the way it needed to be so the rest of the work could keep moving. What stood out to me was how straightforward they made it feel. They explained what needed to shift, framed it properly, and now the rooms make sense when you walk through them.

Our project had reached the point where everything depended on getting the framing done right, so I paid close attention to this part. so we bought this condo in Chicago last year and wanted to open up the main floor layout, take out a wall between the kitchen and living room. our GC said we needed a framing crew to handle the structural side before anything else could move forward. i found MB Framing through one of those contractor facebook groups, someone had posted pics of a job they did and it looked legit. got a quote pretty fast, maybe two days after reaching out. they came in and sistered a bunch of joists that were undersized and put in a new beam w... read more
