Traveler Wow - the crabs are the greatest. Didn't expect classy and didn't get it! But yum, yum crab cakes are out of this world, sweet potato fries and hush puppies just round out the meal delightfully. The service was very efficient and friendly - a real down home, come as you are place with plenty of good food. MAYS RESTURANT THE BEST IN FREDERICK MD I think Mays has the best seafood in frederick Md,And the best prices.You just cant beat the shrimp and crab cakes.The service has always been the best.And if you havent been to Mays,I recomend you go .And i bet you will go back .
Not much to speak of... Mays is nothing much to speak of inside, in fact you might have to put up with a fly or two (might be due to the garbage pails they set right next to your table), but if you can get past the overly-casual atmosphere, the food is good, if a bit pricey. The crab was especially sweet and tender. It does serve an all-you-can-eat buffet, which, if you like that is great and probably reasonable priced, but I could barely stomach being near the people wolfing down food at the table next to me.
Frederick's best kept secret for crabs Small restaurant with parking that can be hard to find but so well worth it. Crabs are always plentiful year round. Good salad bar and good kids meal selections. Kids meals are served in a frisbee that they get to take home. Great service and great prices too. A must try!
RecommendedMy soon to be son-in-law planned a large family event at May’s to propose to my daughter. He coordinated the proposal with the staff ahead of time. They were amazing start to finish and made it a memorable event for all of us. Also, the food was delicious as always.

Just picked up and DEVOURED our meal. We decided to have a crab feast for our last meal in Maryland before heading home, and I'm so glad we took my family's advice and ordered from May's! Expensive as usual for good seafood, and we don't regret it one bit!
