My husband didn't want to go into hospice because he couldn't accept that he was dying. On the day he died, he lost consciousness and I called to have him put on hospice. The nurse came within a couple of hours and stayed with me. He lived for less than an hour before he died, but I was not alone as I would have been. She took care of contacting the funeral home and stayed until they had taken him away. She was helpful without being intrusive. I am grateful for the service they provided and the kindness of this nurse.
