This is best place to pick out a tree. Huge variety & they always seem to have exactly what I'm looking for. The staff are very helpful & very knowledgeable.
I make the hour drive here and home several times a year.. doesnt matter what season, they always have the best and biggest selection and prices that are hard to beat. The only place worth your money for 100 miles of here.
This is my favorite place in Bloomington, every one is super friendly and helpful. Plants are spectacular. Take a scroll through the bonsai house or the water gardens!
Love it. Everything is awesome and the people are lovely.
We took my Granddaughter to the Fall open house for the first time. They offered a fun maze, games with treats for the kids, face painting, and a pumpkin walk. For the adults we enjoyed popcorn and apple cider while shopping for pumpkins, mums and fall bulbs. I was amazed at the varied selection of plants, trees, pots, furniture and gift ideas in the shop. The staff was so friendly and helpful when I asked questions about planting and care. I find something new and interesting with each visit.
Dreaming of spring? Want to help Mays Greenhouse recover from their recent flood? There are two easy ways to help them out financially. One is to donate to their go fund me at https://www.gofundme.com/mays-greenhouse-flood-fundraiser/ Another way is to buy a gift certificate for $100 (or a multiple thereof). Mays gets money now and you get a bonus gift certificate of $10 for every $100 gift certificate you purchase. And they don't expire! The greenhouses are filling up and you know you'll be shopping there soon. Think of it ... read more
Mays Greenhouse is solidly the most friendly and welcoming nursery in the Bloomington Area. The offerings range from general landscaping fill available by the yard to the bag, to the smallest cactus for your window. The houseplants seem to be fuller, stronger and much healthier than plants from chain stores. I highly recommend visiting Mays and picking something up for yourself this fall.
Your employees always are able to help me figure out my situations and make our garden and landscaping better!
We purchased primrose from May’s earlier this month (within their 30-day guarantee on perennials time frame), but they are all now rotten and moldy. Everything else I purchased is doing phenomenally well. We tried to return the rotten primrose to May’s today, but May’s owner, Jason, refused to do anything to compensate for them because he said the primrose were “dormant.” Some of them were still blooming, and I even stopped and got a second opinion from another greenhouse that confirmed none of the primrose are “dormant,” bu... read more
