It was gonna be my first time going to see this doctor. I called in on January 16th to schedule an appointment and they put me down for February 26th, which was fine. I called this morning (Feb 24th) to confirm what I need for my appointment on Wednesday, they confirmed my appointment and just two hour later they called me back letting me know that the doctor won't be in the office on February 26th and they have to reschedule me for APRIL 8TH! Dr. Mayra Thompson is amazing! Every woman should be able to receive the level of care that she and her office provides. I used to live in the Dallas area but now drive 2 hours to remain her patient- she’s that good! I always call her staff from the road if there is any traffic delay and they kindly work it out with me.
Dr. Thompson is great, but her front desk staff should be trained on customer service and how to effectively communicate with patients based on the doctor's orders. They were extremely rude to my sister on numerous occasions after she asked for the MRI referral the doctor ordered. Proper training should definitely be enforced.

I had an appointment with the Dr. I drove to her office for forty minutes and was late for 10 minutes due to an accident on the highway. After arrival at her office I was told to wait. 30 minutes later, I was told that Dr Thompson would not be able to see me because I was late. When I talked to her nurse on the phone, she told me to leave my home earlier so I would not be late next time. She tried to teach me how to manage my time.
