I have had to go to the Red Wing Er twice now. Both have been a very positive experience. It can be frightening when you don't feel good, especially needing an Er visit. All of the doctors and nurses listened to me. I could tell they were all caring people who loved their job. I was admitted just a few days ago. Same thing, wonderful caring staff. I could not of had a better experience.
My mom, an Alzheimer's patient, was said to need her gallbladder out. Her gallbladder was taken out years ago! A nurse caught the mistake. The doctor had mixed her up with another patient! This… after waiting an hour!! My mom was admitted into the Red Wing Hospital . A nurse scolded her for not listening to her. The top of her record clearly states… Alzheimer’s patient. I sent a formal complaint to their patient satisfaction department. THEN they sent a follow-up letter to my mom who has Alzheimer’s to verify my claims!!
This 1 star is for the staff that answers messages. I had surgery (Dr. Hughes, super fantastic, he deserves 5 plus stars) last week. I messaged about STD & FMLA paperwork 2 days after surgery inquiring about if they filled out and sent them back. They waited 4 business days, from 1st message, to reply, I sent a message 3 days last week. Plus 4 days this week to keep on top of it. And after 7 messages/days paperwork was FINALLY sent.
