If I could give zero stars for my daughter's recent Albert Lea ER visit, I would. My 5 yo daughter was in the Austin ER on Saturday (4 days ago) for extreme pain (to the point she couldn't walk), joint swelling & bruising. She received good care there and we were told to return to the ER if new areas of concern popped up. A new area popped up on the same extremity, so we took her back to the ER on Monday, but in Albert Lea as it was closer. New to city so made appointment for a check up with blood work and prescription refill. Get to appointment, no tests scheduled, doctor and nurse can’t find medical records I had sent two months prior. I get sent home after barely a check up for 2 months until records are sent. I send email with what records I had readily available to find they had my records the entire time. I am happy to have Mayo so accessible in Albert Lea, one of the reasons l moved here.
Understaffed cash grab - patient outcomes don't seem to matter. These are real, HUMAN, lives. Do better.
